Kah made his way to the Mako's Forest. He knew that he could get lost easily in the place, but if he followed the scents to where they were most strong he'd easily be able to find the pack's main area once again. He was specifically trained to use his nose to track things, after all. After his conversation with one of the other members of the pack, he couldn't help but review the fact that he felt almost useless at this point and time. He felt like he needed to earn his keep. The way to do that was to take a hunt like his rank said, and actually do what he was supposed to. Though, he would have a hard time and would prefer the company of someone else to help him- just in case.
It felt like such a silly thing, to not be able to take down the prey his rank set him out to take out. He wasn't even scared of any of it. Just worried that he would fail and his pack would ridicule him for his failure. Not that they ever would do that in the first place, but, he couldn't help but let those thoughts sink into his head. Glancing around, Kah wondered if there was any prey close by. Smaller stuff he was good at hunting, but he wasn't exactly looking for that today.
It was early, the sun peaking over the sky, though Kah didn't start moving to try and track anything down just yet. He had time, but he would be doing it this time. Whether he was alone or not.

The huntress had her jaws parted, scents lingering under her nose and past her inky maw. Winter had made the prey harder to find, but not impossible. The fae knew all about hunting; the way in which animals moved, the way in which prey scampered at the sight or sound of an hunter. Altalune even knew where the best hiding spots were and where prey tended to shift too when threatened. Altalune was seasoned in hunting, despite only being four years old. The fae had dedicated a lot of time to her role and had thus become incredibly skilled.
The gentle whiff of another caught the fae's attention; shifting her eyes around, she finally locked her sights on Kah. Kah was a fellow hunter like she; however Kah was not as adventurous with his game as she was. Altalune did not know his thoughts and feelings; unaware that he felt useless and worried of ridicule, but she did know he never rarely brought back bison or deer. Altalune on the other paw would try whatever game she could sink her fangs into. She was clever about it though, knowing full well some prey required pairs.
The multicolored female drew towards to her pack-mate, calling his name as she closed the gap between the two of them. Altalune liked hunting in groups, although she sometimes became irritated at others clumsiness, she was all about progression and learning. Sometimes others could teach you new skills. "Out for a hunt? Mind if I join you?" The huntress said, as she warmly batted her big amber eyes to the hunter. Altalune was greasing, slightly. Eager to join the hunter in his journey.
