[attr="class","hearmenand2"]Winter was hard on the apothecary, her herb stores drying up at a quicker rate than if it were spring or summer. Despite Wacouta being relatively mild during winter Eowyn still took preventative measures when it came to securing her packs health, illness was still a very real and plausible danger. So she often times stored up on extra stocks, plants that were rare or hard to come by in the east. However, this winter had been tough that usual, the dried herbs Eowyn gave to the sentinels and hunters to keep their strengths and wits about them was wearing thin. Should the hunters start failing and the sentinels unable to protect them then Wacouta would be weakened, susceptible to attack and take overs from other packs. The beautiful silvery fae shivered at the thought of losing her home. Of how much pain and suffering the wolves of her homeland would endure. It left the apothecary feeling disheartened and saddened.
Fortunately she shook her self free of such morbid thoughts. She was here at the base of Ekoh for a reason, permission from the Queen herself. To gather supplies and herbs that didn't grow in the eastern regions and return with a bounty. Ekoh's fertile soil was a gateway to medicinal herbs, a haven to all apothecary's alike, maybe even plant enthusiast. But to Eowyn it was a relief, a burden taken off her shoulders. Worry no more for the health of her pack. Turning around to peer over her shoulder the small women called out to the following sentinel. "Hurry up, Asterion! We absolutely must gather all that we can carry!" Eowyn was giddy with joy at the prospect of gathering herbs. She was almost pup-like, looking her mature nature and replacing it with a child like curiosity. Giggling softly to herself Eowyn bounded ahead, nose to the ground as she sniffed out the musty earthy smells of the plants she was looking for, tail flagged in the air so Asterion could see her. Though it was unnecessary given her stark silvery white pelt stool out against the verdant green grass and rich black soil she traversed on. She was like a beacon, easily spotted by both friend and foe. It was a good thing the earthy toned male came along for Eowyn grew single minded when it came to finding herbs, unable to detect malicious intent until it smacked her right in the face. Not to mention Eowyn couldn't even hurt a fly even if it meant saving her own life. Perhaps that is why Alphess Carinthia decided a sentinel travel and guard Eowyn on her three day journey.
A particular scent caught the she-wolves inky black nose. It wasn't a particular plant that she needed, but it was nonetheless something Eowyn found valuable as it was very hard finding in Wacouta territory. Pausing the she-wolf started digging up black soil, staining her legs a black with rich earth. It wasn't long before the she-wolf gained black socks, her underbelly turning a speckled black as she continued to dig up her quarry. Finding the root, Eowyn delicately placed her teeth around it and tugged, careful to avoid damaging the goods. Lifting her sooty muzzle up. And root secured safely in her mouth Eowyn peered around her scenery, ears perked in alert. She could have sworn she heard something and the wind was useless to the small beautiful fae, blowing down wind from her. "Hello?"

A guide was needed; someone to protect the fae as white as snow. Eowyn was an apothecary, someone who could not fight as well as those hardened to the taste of battle on a regular basis. A personal request from the Queen; please go with Eowyn. Naturally the tawny male had no quarrels with the request. Really, in was an honor. He was trusted enough to protect Eowyn on her exploration.
In the pit of the male's stomach he felt uncertain though; almost as though trouble was brewing on the horizon. A mutter prayer to the Drowned God settled his nerves before he set off after the energetic canine. The three day journey would be interesting, he told himself. The male was excited to explore the wider region of Avalon, even if he did immediately feel a pang of homesickness.
Asterion was enveloped by the sights and smells of the central territory. It was similar to the east, but also fairly different at the same time. The grass felt strange on his paws, but he kept following Eowyn - no matter where she seemed to lead him. The obedient helper carried whatever he was given, holding clumps of herbs loosely in his jaws. Eowyn was adorable, prancing around across the central lands with herbs dangling from her maw. The excitement she gave off kept him smiling throughout the whole journey. "I'm coming!" He called back to her as she pranced about in the distance. Asterion could see the gap between the two widening, thus he picked up his pace. "Sorry, while I'm enjoying this...I must say, herbs do not quite excite me in the same way they do for you," he said with a gentle chuckle.
The male hung back a small distance, watching as the snow fae started to gradually turn bi-coloured, soil staining her pelt like blood. Asterion was unsure what she had found or what she was even doing, but he decided to approach in case she needed an extra set of jaws. As he drew towards her, he heard her call out. A chill went down the male's back as he too believed he had heard something. The male protectively went to the woman's side, his bright oculars sifting through the foliage.
