RULES
With wisdom, we conquer
As per the general information about Wacouta; Wacouta is a fairly traditional pack with a slight spin. There are some aspects which are followed more like guidelines and others which are considered to be more like rules. Wacouta's views have altered with the leadership change of Alphess Carinthia. A summary of the views and rules can be found below.
RULES
The word of the Alphess is law. The word of her mate; the Alpha, is also law.
Pups are sacred treasure. To be protected with claw and fang.
Religion is not compulsory, but respect towards The Drowned God and The 3 Faced Goddess is imperative.
Nicknames within Wacouta are not tolerated. Wolves ought to call one another by their full name i.e; Alphess Carinthia, or by simply their name 'Carinthia'. If a wolf is of leadership, then referring to the wolf by their title is also acceptable, i.e 'Alphess', 'Baron'.
Arranged mateships are not uncommon within Wacouta but are usually done so for high-ranking wolves or wolves of a specific bloodline.
One can choose their own mate if they do not have an arrangement existing.
Mateship is sacred; once united as a mated pair, splitting/cheating is considered dishonorable and is seen as a bad omen.
Strong prey makes a strong wolf. Do not consume prey that is injured or kill to simply kill.
Romances outside of Wacouta are forbidden unless they are arranged mateships.
Omegas cannot have mates or produce pups.
Challenge all trespassers.
Always look a kill in the eyes so the soul doesn’t depart alone.
Never let your guard down when dealing with outsiders.
Carinthia see’s Wacouta as a strength. It is the oldest pack and it is so for a reason. She believes in making alliances and keeping peace with other packs, but she will not do so at the jeopardy of Wacouta. She is not opposed to arrange-mateships to forge alliances or peace. However, she has high expectations of any newcomer to Wacouta and would struggle to farewell any wolf from Wacouta in turn. Carinthia does not condone mateships outside of the pack; but she would be willing to allow outsiders to join the pack. Any newcomer who joins Wacouta however is kept under surveillance until she says otherwise.
Punishment will be given to those who deserve it; Punishments vary depending on crime, but demotions, delays in ranking up/leadership properties, and demonstrations of authority and power are not uncommon.
Betrayal to the pack and/or signs of disloyalty are the highest of crimes within Wacouta. Severe punishment befalls anyone who attempts or commits these crimes.
Wacouta wolves do not leave Wacouta grounds unless given authority to do so. The exception to this is Scouts.
