"X" marks the spot across this male's face. Like paint, the bold markings between his eyes stretch and splatter in a cool grey X against his dark charcoal hide. More of this grey freckles down his back from his withers, breaking apart his otherwise start coat. There is a slight light to his underbelly, but it's almost unnoticeable. One would have to get near and look hard, but others tend to give this blue eyed beast plenty of space. Striking against his night colored fur is a pair of blue eyes that frankly, could hardly be considered blue. They were like ice. Cold. Sharp, Dangerous. But something in the way he looked at others, one might could glimmer a hint of warmth behind that frozen glare. He's not some skin and bones bag if death personified, no. He stands well above the average pack mate, and knows how to throw his weight around. He's rife with small scars from scuffles, but with a coat as thick as his, it's next to impossible to find them once they heal. The fur around his neck is especially thick, giving him a regal appearance and making it more difficult for opponents to bite into his neck.
PERSONALITY
Vuell is a brute, there's no doubting that. You could paint him over red and then some with the blood he's spilled. He shows no hesitation to strike should he be given a reason to. Though the only reason he needs to smear someone across the ground is word from his alpha. There is little more driving than orders for this soldier. Of course, that's not all there is to him. Some rumor the cold man has a heart buried somewhere deep under all that fur. He has been seen on rare occasion putting himself in the way of scraps. Something ingrained deep in his soul from puphood is this intense desire to protect the weak among the pack, or perhaps not a desire to protect, but this insatiable hunger for blood and it gives him an excuse to tear into someone. Should someone find themselves bearing down on even an Omega, unless it was sanctioned by the Alpha himself, the aggressor could find themselves on the business end of his teeth. He is aware of their place among the pack, don't misunderstand, but one's existance is not a sin and they shall not be punished for existing while he has any say in it.The Alpha is law though, that much he knows. Regardless of who stands on the thrown. Should the leadership change, it is only right the stronger leads. Physically, Vuell might have perhaps been a running candidate, but he lacked the mental strength required of an Alpha. That's what he thinks anyway. And perhaps it is for this reason that others see a heart buried somewhere in there.
He is not one to be able to really articulate his thoughts with much grace. Short, simple, and to the point works well enough. He's never been able to really grasp the flowery soft words exchanged between lovers. He is drawn to the beautiful things in life. And not in things like flowers or a pretty face, but rather the beauty of how the sun drapes over the land just before it disappears for the night, or the way words dance off the tongue of a poet. Not that he could ever manage to form such words himself.

HISTORY
Now, now one knows for certain how Vuell came to be. There are many rumors that dance between hushed whispers, but that's all it is. Rumors and speculation. Vuell's mother was a small hunter she wolf. Her pelt a beautiful marbling if Grey's and blacks, but her body was on the trailer side. Still, she managed to prove her worth as a small game hunter and despite her beautiful appearance though, that's all she was to most males. Something nice to look at. Her small, delicate frame wasn't exactly file for bearing children and no one expected her to able to birth strong pups. And so a hunter she remained. And this is where reality and the unknown collide.
Doe, his mother, had gone off on her own in the late afternoon, out hunting for small game like usual, but soon afternoon turned to evening, and then to night. There was still no sign of the she-wolf. It wasn't long before the break of sun when her limping form came stumbling back to the camp. She was limping, covered in bite marks and sounds that left a trail behind her as she hobbled, barely on her feet. It was a miracle she was standing at all, let alone alive with the severity of her wounds like they were. After the incident, she was confined to watchful, healing eyes of the Apothecary. The once chipper, chatty young she-wolf had become a mute, hollow shell of her former self. Every day they tried to coax out answers from her about what happened, who had done this to her. But to no avail.
It wasn't much longer until the battered Doe's belly was beginning to swell. It was then that rumors of a dangerous loner had gotten a hold of her and a man hunt was sent out once again since when she'd first arrived back, but they came back with nothing both times. They couldn't find a sign of anything or anyone, by now even the once gruesome blood soaked scene she originally left behind had been washed away by the elements. Months continued to tick by and she continued to swell and like many predicted, her body couldn't handle the strain, and died in birth, leaving yet even more questions than answers.
She'd given birth to two pups, two sons. The first one was small, like a scrap of fur, but it was so thin, the one who delivered it said it looked like skin had been stretched over it's skeleton like there was no meat on the bones. They all feared the worst that it would be nothing by a litter of dead pups seeing as how big she'd gotten, but instead there was only one other. The second, a pup black as night with a strange X shape across it's face, and he far outsized his dead sibling. He far outsized most pups actually. The puppy was passed on to the Den-mothers, putting them in charge of the orphan's well being. This is when rumors began to circulate. Gossip about his origin was the hot topic of the pack and strange mark across his face certainly didn't help him. Many speculated he was marked by a god, saved from damnation unlike his mother and brother. That seemed to be the widely accepted rumor up until he opened his eyes for the first time and those icy eyes were shown to the world. As he gazed up at his surrogate den mother for the first time, she shreiked, drawing all attention back on the pup now named Vuell.
His Den-mother swore up and down that she'd seen a wendigo, that he had the eyes of a wendigo, cold, merciless, soul-less... Hungry. Other females gathered in confusion to grab a peek at what was causing the commotion only to be met with the same chilling gaze. It that's when the rumors started again in full swing. It grew and evolved and the popular theory is his mother was attacked and impregnated by a wendigo. It would explain the sickly looking other child and the severity of her wounds. But what no one could come up with the support this theory, was why. Some say his icy eyes are able to see the dead spirits. Not even Vuell is sure where that one sprouted from.
He grew at an alarming rate, and it became very clear very fast what the blood thirsty pup's calling in the pack would be. He was too aggressive to be a hunter, but there was no ignoring his strength and so he was trained in fighting. By the time he was old enough to be a Sentenial and fight for the pack, the den-mothers used him as a story to scare misbehaving pups. And it worked too. What was more frightening than a boogie man that walked among you?
To this day, he continues to perform his duties with an undeniable brutality. His Den-mother and some elders still wait for the day he snaps and kills them all, but those are just wives-tales, right?
