messina is a lithe, flaxen white wolf adorned with chartreuse eyes.
PERSONALITY
messina is a whimsical yet sagacious wolf, whose knowledge extends farther than her own seniority. she appears almost callous when jokingly addressing harsher topics, even if she is betraying her true sentiments. she is serene in essence, and although reposed, is more than capable of revealing a more confident, outspoken side of her psyche. messina will often support her authorities' decisions unconditionally, although on rare occasions, she will assert her opinions to her superiors, preferably polite in delivery.
LIKES: a tidied den, the thrill of a fight, eavesdropping, the tough meat of rabbit and ungulates
FLAWS: fickle, finical, impious, solemn, stoic to a limit
DREAMS: to learn more about the history of the gods, and to climb the ranks.
FEARS: losing someone and never knowing where they went, scorn, her mother
HISTORY
her memories of being jolly as a pup were few, and slivers of her younger years. she was raised strictly, to assess her environment, and to hunt and fight as a perfect wolf. there were few instances she would have fun, mainly she'd train to fight, and her sister to hunt. her mother envisioned them as high ranks, and encouraged them to fight and be competitive, to see whoever would become alpha first. her sister, maliah, always seemed better than her. in mock fights, she always seemed to win. messina never understood why, and grew to hate her sister. her mother noticed this, and encouraged it fervently
one day, she and maliah trained on the banks of a rocky stream, in which they stealthily snuck out of camp to reach. they twisted and slithered against each others' attacks. maliah struck with ferocious accuracy, while messina relied on her instincts, something her mother detested. when the sun began to set, maliah insisted on training a bit more. although annoyed that her sister wouldn't come back with her to share the blame, messina traipsed her way back home, and endured a flurry of rebukes, both messina and her mother wondered when maliah would come back soon. already, it was midnight, and there was no sign of the youthful lupa. they waited, and waited, until they finally settled to sleep, in await of maliah the next day. she was nowhere to be found, and now her mother searched. her mother searched every inch of her last location, but to no avail. maliah was nowhere to be seen. her mother blamed messina for leaving maliah behind, and returned to camp, still waiting for maliah. days and days passed by, with messina subject to her mother's scorn, and the item to vent her anger and grief upon. it had been a month, and there was still no sign of her. messina began enduring clips from her mother, which escalated to wounds. she would be sent to the apothecaries, but never told why she got hurt, or made up a cheap excuse. even though her mother did this to her, she understood why. it was her fault for leaving maliah behind, right? she witnessed her mother sob many times before, and never wished her any bad. a year then passed, and her mother seemed to pass on because of a broken heart. messina assumes that her sister died, but wishes that she maybe ran away, as a happier ending.
